The Editorial Board of the Nigerian Journal of General Practice (NJGP) invites researchers, clinicians, academics, and healthcare practitioners to submit high-quality, original manuscripts for publication in its upcoming issue: Volume 23, Number 2 (July – December 2025).

The NJGP is a peer-reviewed, open-access biomedical journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in primary care, family medicine, public health, and general medical practice, with a strong emphasis on clinical impact and healthcare delivery in resource-limited and emerging settings.

Key Manuscript Categories

We welcome submissions across the following manuscript types:

  • Original Research Articles: Full-length clinical or observational research, epidemiological studies, and community health interventions.

  • Review Articles: Comprehensive thematic overviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses on relevant general practice topics.

  • Case Reports & Series: Novel clinical presentations, diagnostic dilemmas, or innovative management approaches in general practice.

  • Perspectives & Practice Management: Insights into health policy, ethics, medical economics, primary care financing, and the business of medicine.

  • Letters to the Editor & Short Communications: Brief scholarly reflections or comments on previously published articles.

We particularly encourage submissions addressing:

  • Family Medicine, Primary Care, and Community Health Management

  • Infectious & Non-Communicable Diseases in primary care settings

  • Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health Care

  • Health Economics, Practice Administration, and Private Sector Integration

  • Medical Education, Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and Ethics
